Philipp Korotin has joined UCL الدكتور خالد علي الحضرمي as Partner and Head of the M&A Practice.
Philipp is an international lawyer with more than 20 years of experience advising on complex cross-border projects, M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic corporate matters.
Philipp has worked both at leading international law firms, including Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, and in-house as legal counsel to international companies. He has advised businesses on legal strategy, risk management, and cross-border transactions, and has led M&A and joint venture projects. This professional background enables him to combine the expertise of an international legal adviser with a deep understanding of internal business processes, the commercial logic of transactions, and the management risks companies face when implementing strategic projects.
Philipp’s key areas of expertise include corporate law, M&A, joint ventures, public and private company transactions, antitrust regulation, merger control, foreign investment matters, asset ownership structuring, and succession planning. He also advises UHNWIs and family offices on international asset ownership, private wealth structures, and succession planning across various jurisdictions, including the UAE and Mauritius.
Throughout his career, Philipp has advised global companies on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, transaction structuring, market entry, and the management of legal risks across multiple jurisdictions. His experience includes working with international businesses in Europe, the CIS, the Middle East, and Asia, including VEON, a digital telecommunications operator listed on NASDAQ.
Philipp has been recognized by international legal rankings: The Legal 500 EMEA recommended him for Commercial, Corporate and M&A in Russia, while Best Lawyers in Russia named him among the leading practitioners in competition and antitrust law twice.
In his new role, Philipp will develop the international M&A practice of UCL الدكتور خالد علي الحضرمي, advising clients on cross-border transactions, investment projects, corporate restructurings, and the development of effective asset ownership structures.
