Marina specializes in mediation, partnership facilitation and negotiation support for business, commercial and cross-border matters. She is an International Mediator accredited by the International Mediation Institute (IMI) and the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI), with more than 25 years of international business experience across the Middle East, Europe and the CIS.
Before joining UCL, Marina held senior executive roles at Warner Bros., Johnson & Johnson and O2 Pictures. She negotiated hundreds of complex commercial agreements and built strategic partnerships with distributors, broadcasters, digital platforms and retail chains in more than 15 international markets. Her work involved balancing the interests of many stakeholders inside multinational corporations, and working with private companies, investors, legal counsel and creative talent across different cultures. This background gives Marina a practical understanding of both the commercial and human sides of business relationships: how partnerships are formed, how expectations drift apart, and how a difficult conversation can either resolve a problem or let it escalate. At UCL, Marina leads the Mediation Practice. She supports clients when disputes arise and also earlier on, helping strengthen business relationships, handle difficult negotiations and deal with potential sources of conflict before they turn into formal disputes.
